WHO IS BRENDAN BEESLEY?

Brendan Beesley, from Port Gibson, Mississippi, is not just your ordinary resident. With a background in mechanical engineering and business, he's poised to make a significant impact on his community. Having risen to the position of President at V&B International, Inc., a unique hardwood sawmill business, Brendan has demonstrated his leadership and vision. Now, he's stepping into the political arena, running for the position of Mayor in Port Gibson.

Brendan's journey to this pivotal moment in his life is marked by a commitment to excellence and a dedication to his hometown. After growing up in Port Gibson, he pursued higher education at the University of Mississippi, where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Driven by his passion for both engineering and business, Brendan continued his studies at the same institution, obtaining a Master's degree in Business.

During his college years, Brendan didn't just focus on academics; he gained practical experience as a maintenance engineer at Nissan's manufacturing facility in Canton, Mississippi. This role exposed him to the intricacies of maintaining and optimizing complex machinery, a skill set that would later prove invaluable in his career.

In 2015, Brendan returned to his roots in Port Gibson, joining forces with his father at V&B International, Inc. This hardwood sawmill business, with its distinctive name, has become a cornerstone of the community. V&B International, Inc. purchases logs and expertly transforms them into lumber, which finds its way into various products, from exquisite furniture and elegant flooring to musical instruments, fine cabinets, sturdy houses, and intricate artwork. The versatility of the company is a testament to Brendan's adaptability and vision.

What sets V&B International, Inc. apart is not only its craftsmanship but also its unwavering commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. The company is known for responsibly sourcing logs and employing state-of-the-art machinery to maximize the yield from each log while minimizing waste.

Now, Brendan Beesley is taking his commitment to Port Gibson to a new level by running for Mayor in 2023. He's eager to bring his vision of economic growth, well-maintained infrastructure, clean drinking water, and a well-funded police force to his beloved hometown. Brendan's diverse background, from engineering and business management to entrepreneurship, uniquely positions him to lead Port Gibson into a prosperous and sustainable future.
